Canada’s Foreign Minister Calls on PM Modi to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

H.E. Ms. Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in New Delhi. The Prime Minister welcomed Ms. Anand and highlighted that her visit would help infuse new momentum into the India–Canada bilateral partnership.

Recalling his visit to Canada in June 2025 for the G7 Summit, Prime Minister Modi mentioned his productive meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. He emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation in trade, energy, technology, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his warm wishes to Prime Minister Carney and expressed his anticipation for their upcoming engagements aimed at further deepening bilateral collaboration.
